TV Advert
The story of the ad is that there is a male wearing a pair of puma evospeed football boots and he is running with the ball but while doing so in the background the words ‘Light’, ‘Fit’ and ‘flex’ pop up showing what the product brings to your football. They are showcasing the puma evospeed football boots mainly but also a puma football, puma shorts and a puma top. At the start it says ‘you want speed’ indicating that the boots make you faster and at the end when the player goes to shoot it says ‘Don’t Blink’ which could mean that if they shoot and you blink, they would have already scored.
It looks like the advert is on a set because there are a lot of lights and there is only one strip of grass that he is running on, also you can see when the camera ducks down that the grass is on top of metal construction. The colours that are used are pretty dull and dark, they use a lot of black and grey but there is a bit of yellow on the boot and his top is yellow but they use a lot of lights to make the advert brighter.
The target audience for this advert is mostly male any age. Because they are showcasing male football boots and they have a male wearing them but they probably do women’s version of the boot so women can also be part of the target audience.
There is a song in the background. And it gets faster and more intense as the advert goes on and then the music just cuts off when the player kicks the ball.
There are about 39 different camera shots in the advert most of them with different effects. The first camera shot is a wide shot to show where the advert is set and to show what the product is, the next camera shot is a close up shot of the bottom of the boot and how it looks. It is like this for the majority of the advert but with the odd shot a wide shot. The camera shots show all different angles of the advert with different effects on each of them which makes it interesting for the viewer.
There is only one set used in the advert and that is the one which the player is in and it looks like it is a warehouse with a strip of grass and construction around it. There is a couple of fans and some lights to make it look lighter.
The advert technique's that are used are rhetorical question because they ask 'You want speed' also there is a scientific/statistical claim because it says 'Speed cell', 'monolayer upper', 'everfit cage', 'speed track spine' and 'duoflex'. i dont know what all these are and they are trying to provide evidence that this is a really good football boot.
I think the overall advert is ok because it does clearly show the product they are selling and what you would get if you buy this boot but it could have been much better if they could have got a celebrity too make it more appealing to more people.
The target audience for this advert/product is any gender but mostly male from any age but mostly 8 to 30 because they are sports boots and are trying to appeal to the younger audience becuase they would get more sales.
Radio Advert
THE STYLE OF THE RADIO ADVERT
The style of the radio advert is motivational and persuasive because it says 'believe in yourself ' and 'its your confidence that makes us shout louder' this is motivational to people and it is saying that if you buy this boot it will make you believe in yourself and that is why its persuasive. it also says we believe in you, you believe in you'.
OVERALL MESSAGE
The overall message of the advert is to believe in yourself and if you buy the shoes you will believe you can do anything and that you have tons of confidence/ability to play at the highest level. it also talks about the fans and how they support the players and feel proud when a player scores for there club/country.
WHAT VOICES WERE USED?
The voices that were used was a English, male voice, about 20, narrating over the whole advert. there are no other voices used in the advert.
WHAT TONE OF LANGUAGE WAS USED?
The tone of language used on this advert is motivational because they are trying to promote a new boot and it says 'believe in yourself ' so then people are attracted to the product because they think they'll play better in the boots or they'll believe that the can do anything in them. there was not a slogan in the advert but it was a world cup themed advert. the product was not mentioned at all in the advert because it is originally a TV advert so it didn't need to, also there were no contact details in it.
WHAT MUSIC OR SOUND EFFECTS WERE USED?
The sound effects in the advert were drums in the background and fans chanting to give you a picture of what it looks like walking out onto a pitch, there was some music playing throughout until the end of the advert, the song sounded like a Mexican tune ad it went really well with the advert.
WHAT IS THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ADVERT?
The main purpose of the advert is to promote a particular product and to get people to buy this product and to show them what you can do if you have the boots.
WHY DO YOU THINK THE ADVERT WAS GOOD OR WHY DO YOU THINK IT WASNT VERY GOOD?
I think the advert was good because it inspires people that play football to play better and believe in themselves, this would make people want to buy the boots because they can relate to the advert and they think they would play better in them.
Print Advert

The writing in this advert stands out because it is big and bold and in the centre of the advert so that as soon as you look at it you see the writing. The writing says 'the nature of the supersonic blink and they'll be gone' this means that if you where these boots it will give you supersonic speed, I think the writing they have done is good because the name of the boot is EVOspeed and supersonic means fast, this would also make people want to buy he product because they want to be fast.
In this advert there is quite a bit going on, the person in the middle of the advert is professional footballer Sergio Aguero promoting puma football boots this would make people want to but these boots because they know that he wear's them and people like having what the professionals have.
The brand is shown on the side of the football boot and on the football Aguero is kicking but it doesn't have the logo, this would help people because if they didnt have the brand on show, nobody
would have a clue what the product they are selling is made by.
The only character in the advert is Aguero and the reason they put him in there is because he is a pro footballer and the product they are trying to sell are football boots so it makes sense to have him in it.
The story of the advert is that Aguero is probably running really fast with the ball and about to kick it because that is what they are trying to say on it.
This kind of advert would appear in sports magazines because they are selling football boots or in a men's magazine because they are being worn by a man which indicates that is there main target audience.
The advert is good because the advertising technique they use is celebrity endorsement which makes people want to buy the product, I would buy the product because they have promoted it well and they have made the boots look nice.
Summary
I looked at a puma TV advert, a puma radio advert and a puma print advert. I looked for a radio advert for puma but could not seem to find one so I used the sound from a TV advert and used it for a radio advert. All of these adverts used football as its main sport and used a player with boots on with a ball at there feet. Only the print advert used a celebrity to try and sell the product, and that was the only one that really exaggerates because it says supersonic speed which you obviously cannot be.
They use music on both the TV and radio advert, the music is aggressive music in the TV advert and a mexican style music on the radio both of which go well with the adverts they are used in.
The kind of lifestyle used for all the adverts is people who like football because that's what all the adverts are based on, the TV advert is a player running with a ball, the radio advert is a man motivating you and telling you to believe in yourself when playing football and the print advert is Sergio aguero with the ball.
